With apologies to Kip Esquire.
Riley writes about Jim Gilmore’s position on abortion.
To which I ask:
Most conservative Republicans seem to support the idea that abortion should be an issue of state law, not Federal law, through the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
So, a question…….
Why should it matter what a candidate for the United States Senate thinks about the issue ?
Properly considered, this isn’t even an issue the Senate should be dealing with.
To me, it’s like asking a candidate for the Prince William Board of Supervisors his position on Iranian nuclear weapons.
Irrelevant.
Update: The post at Virginia Virtucon appears to be gone for some reason

P.S. This is a classic case of what I call the “World-Without-Roe Lie,” but that’s a whole other comment left elsewhere.

Your comment just makes me wonder how Mr. Federalism himself — Ron Paul — voted on the Partial Birth Abortion Ban.
Time for some research.
