Susan Sarandon threatens to leave the country for good if McCain wins in November:
SUSAN SARANDON, who appeared in three films last year and won kudos for her TV movie “Bernard and Doris,” is still not a contented soul. She says if John McCain gets elected, she will move to Italy or Canada. She adds, “It’s a critical time, but I have faith in the American people.”
It’s tempting, something like this might actually convince me to vote for John McCain, its the idea that a pedantic celebrity would be leaving the country for good if he won. But we all know that’s not going to happen.
We had similar promises in 2004 from Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn, and last time I checked, they’re still here.
So as nice as it would be to think that Susan Sarandon would leave the country forever, it’s unfortunately just the inane posturing of a leftist.
