On June 23rd, we’ll be marking the third anniversary of one of the most infamous Supreme Court decisions of the past decade — in Kelo v. City of New London, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the City of New London, Connecticut, and, by extension, any city in America, was within it’s authority to take the property of a private citizen and give it to a corporation for “re-development” project.
To mark the occasion, Suzette Kelo, the Plaintiff in that case, is asking for donations to the Institute for Justice, the libertarian public interest law firm that represented her in that case and has fought eminent domain abuse across the country.
More information on the Institute for Justice can be found here.

Saslaw and Vogel are pushing SB6016 for a big northern developer. The Senate is voting on it today. SB6016 gives the court the ability to re-write your deed. Watch your property values go bye bye. It was introduced on 6/23 so it’s happening again.
