I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Metro P.D. Declares Defeat In War Against Criminals

by @ 6:58 am on June 5, 2008.

Instead of actually fighting crime, Washington, D.C.’s Police Department is going to turn into a 21st Century version of the guys who manned the checkpoints along the Berlin Wall:

D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier announced a military-style checkpoint yesterday to stop cars this weekend in a Northeast Washington neighborhood inundated by gun violence, saying it will help keep criminals out of the area.

Starting on Saturday, officers will check drivers’ identification and ask whether they have a “legitimate purpose” to be in the Trinidad area, such as going to a doctor or church or visiting friends or relatives. If not, the drivers will be turned away.

Because, of course, freedom of movement means nothing to the Gestapo Soviet Security Forces Metropolitan Police Department. Rather than actually fight crime it’s easier for them to just turn the city into a police state.

When the police are reduced to stuff like this, it’s as sure as sign as any that the criminals have won.

Fema camps are built all over this country now (Haliburton contract). Haliburton is moving to Dubyai. Who do you think these camps are for? They’re for American citizens who don’t want the One World government.
Police are being trained to accomodate this.

Yet again we are seeing laws designed for fighting terrorism being used for law enforcement. Spitzer anyone?

Go to http://PeterJames08.com and see why he is not a fan of the police state, or the thing that started this cycle in the first place, the criminalization of drugs.
