Now that we’re getting into the General Election, there’s a simple truth that needs to be repeated over and over again:
The head-to-head nationwide poll results mean next to nothing.
Nonetheless, since the media will pay attention to them, they’re worth paying attention to:

So basically, we’re looking at a very close race with as much as twenty percent of the electorate still waiting to make up their minds.
As with the Intrade numbers, we’ll look at this again in a month.

These polls are a dead heat. This is where the polls have been for the past two elections. They only show that this America is divided right down the middle.
There will thus be NO compromise. But compromise is exactly what is necessary to fix what is wrong with America.
Without compromise on the energy front we will see America slide away into a third world country.
Without compromise on health care the people will all live agonizing lives without any real help. America is broken and falling down. The only thing to thus wait for is how far she will fall and the thud after she has fallen.
