Yes There’s An Election Today, No I’m Not Voting

by @ 6:05 am on June 10, 2008.

It’s primary day in Virginia but if you’re in the 11th Congressional District and you don’t care who wins the Democratic Primary, you may as well stay home.

On some level, I suppose I’d rather see Gerry Connolly win simply because I know that whoever wins this primary is probably going to win in November and I really can’t stand Leslie Byrne and what she stands for. But, it’s a Democratic Primary, and I’m not a Democrat.

So, you know, they can go nominate whichever one of these morons they want as far as I’m concerned.

However, there are elections in Northern Virginia worth looking at.

There’s a Republican primary in the 8th District and I’ve endorsed Amit Singh in that race, but if that’s not enough, the despicable, dishonest tactics of his opponent are reason enough to vote for Amit.

And, in the 10th District, Vern McKinley is running against Frank Wolf, who has excelled at giving his District access to other people’s money. Which is reason enough to vote for Vern McKinley.
