Perhaps we need to begin planning the withdrawal.
It’s really quite simple. If the Iraqi people, through their elected representatives, want American forces out of their country by 2010, or whatever date they might set, then we have no right being there.
Anyone who says otherwise is, quite honestly, an imperialist.
Score this one a big win for Obama.

Doug- I’m glad to see you back posting interesting articles and opinions. I check here each day and missed your perspectives. As far as Iraq wanting us out, I guess it takes the wind out of McCain’s only campaign issue, but alas, I fear we will be in Iran in some way before election day.
