The Obama campaign is out with a new ad hitting John McCain where it hurts, his own admitted lack of knowledge about matters economic:
Although it’s done with tongue in cheek and in a deliberately cute manner, this is actually a pretty effective ad.
It uses McCain’s own words against him, and it ties him to an incredibly unpopular President. The tagline at the end is reminiscent of Ronald Reagan’s famous line in 1980 — “Are you better off now than you were four years ago ?”
The answer back then, for many Americans, was an emphatic no.
If Obama can tie McCain to Bush while asking that same question, he may have a winning strategy.
