Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

What’s Wrong With This Picture ?

Based on this new ad from the McCain/Palin Campaign, Sarah Palin sounds more qualified to be President than the man at the top of the GOP ticket. After all, what executive experience has John McCain had ?

I’m not sure that’s the message they want to convey here. When you come right down to it, people don’t vote for a Vice-President, they vote for a President. Sarah Palin’s qualifications relative to Barak Obama are largely irrelevant, especially given the fact that Obama just completed a grueling year-long primary process against someone who based their entire campaign on “experience” and he won.

And, I can honestly say that this is first time I’ve ever seen a Presidential campaign compare their Vice-Presidential candidate to the other parties’ candidate for President.
