An interesting discussion on The Situation Room regarding the possibility that Bob Barr could assume the role of a spoiler on Election Day:
While I agree with Marc at Liberty Maven that it would have been preferable if the report had focused at least somewhat on what Barr has said on the issues rather than on what impact he may have on the race, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Barr being viewed as a potential spoiler.
Think of it this way — if Barr siphons enough votes of people who might otherwise have voted Republican in critical states like North Carolina, Georgia, or Virginia, he may well turn a state that otherwise would have gone for McCain to Barack Obama. If that happens, maybe the Republicans will wake up on November 5th and wonder what they did to piss off their libertarian wing.
