I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Teach Your Children Well

Apparently, stupidity doesn’t skip a generation in  Oklahoma Idaho:

REXBURG – Controversial words spoken by kids on a school bus have some Madison County parents concerned.

Matthew Whoolery and his wife aren’t blaming the school district for what happened on the bus but they do think all parents need to be careful about what they say and teach their children.

Whoolery and his wife couldn’t believe it when their second and third graders got off the bus last week and told them what other students were saying.

“They just hadn’t heard anything like this before,” said Whoolery. “They were chanting on the bus, ‘Assassinate Obama. Assassinate Obama.’ Then adding in a name sometimes of a classmate on the bus, ‘Assassinate Obama and Kate.’”

The Whoolery’s explained to their kids what assassinate means then contacted the school about what was happening.

“I think the thing that struck us was just like, ‘Where did they get the word and why would they put that word and that person together?’” said Whoolery.

Let me just take a wild guess and say they probably learned it where most kids learn stuff, at home.

Easy. Somebody’s mom or dad said something about how Obama should be assassinated at home. Since OK is a republican state, I’m sure there are some irate republicans about the election results, and so it would be easy for a mom or a dad to say “I bet Obama will be assassinated before the inauguration” and then follow up with something about how it wouldn’t be a bad thing, and BOOM you have a kid that thinks “Assassinate Obama” sounds like a great thing to say.

I’m from Canada but isn’t it TREASON to talk about assassinating the President? If so maybe they should send someone out there to explain this to the children so they can explain it to their parents. Oh wait parents don’t listen to their kids anymore and thats the problem!

Jay Ray there is a lot of things that are allowed that used to be considered treason, even a lot of actions by politicians. An example of that is meeting with foreign governments and deliberately trying to get them to go against the policy of the U.S.

As a point of clarification Obama has not been elected POTUS yet. The electoral college is the one that actually elects the President and Vice President. I beleive that election is December 14th. (I am not positive on the date) and then Congress certifies the election results I believe the 5th of January.

Oklahoma is an embarrassment to the rest of America. They should be ashamed of themselves. The only good thing to ever come from Oklahoma is the Flaming Lips.
