It’s Been A Really Bad Year

The problems in the real estate market haven’t gone away yet:

One in every 567 Virginia households received a foreclosure filing in November, an increase of 121 percent from the same period last year.

Still, a report released Thursday by mortgage research company RealtyTrac said November’s total 5,694 foreclosure filings were down about 13 percent from October.

Nationwide, one in every 488 households received a filing.

We’re nowhere near the end of this one.
