No, you don’t get it.

The Republicans could have run Jesus H. Christ himself last year and, thanks to the fact of eight years of an incompetent President and 12 years of a Republican Congress that never followed through on it’s promises, they still would’ve lost.

In reality, if the GOP had run someone further to the right than McCain, the loss would’ve been worse most likely.
