Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

1,000,000 And Counting

by @ 3:24 pm on April 3, 2009.

Just before 3:00pm EDT today, Below The Beltway got it’s 1,000,000th visitor since moving to it’s own domain on April 1, 2006 when someone from Schaumberg, Illinois came to this post:

Stats

The reason the number says 1,045,892 is because that includes the 45,892 people that visited between July 4, 2005 and March 31, 2006 at the old Blogspot site. I’ve decided, though, that milestones will only be marked here as measured from the day this became a real blog.

Of course, I probably would have gotten here sooner if I’d known about The Other McCain’s five simple rules, but I’ve learned my lesson

Anyway, it’s been a fun ride for the last three years. I’ve met, mostly online-only, a lot of interesting people and can honestly say I’ve become more engaged in politics and the future of the United States than I had been before I started.

And it’s not over yet, so keep coming back.

Update: Since the master himself requested it, here’s a little Rule 5-inspired celebration courtesy of Ms. Charlize Theron:
