Not surprisingly, it’s from Pat Buchanan:
In 45 years, no Democratic president has put a single white Protestant or Catholic man or woman on the court.
This from the man who complains about the racism of affirmative action.
Words fail.
I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.
Not surprisingly, it’s from Pat Buchanan:
In 45 years, no Democratic president has put a single white Protestant or Catholic man or woman on the court.
This from the man who complains about the racism of affirmative action.

I have always liked Pat Buchanan. His blog, http://www.buchanan.org is always thought provoking.
These days, many only know Pat as a pundit on TV or radio. Aside from running for President, Pat has been an active participant in Virginia politics for decades. He was always a joy to chat with at the Republican Advance, or other outings aroun the Old Dominion.
To me, Pat has always reminded me of that wild uncle that so many of us have. You know, the one that shows up during the holidays daring the youngsters to pull his finger, so he can fart.
Sure he says shocking things, but the things he says are the truth; at least as he sees it. He calls ‘em as he sees ‘em, and he always has been forthright and honest.
You may not agree with something Pat says, but you know where he stands on a particular issue. The same was true of, the late, Jerry Falwell. Jerry might take a position that annoyed half of the population, but he would always base his views on his interpretation of scripture. Falwell and Buchanan are both well known for their ability to discuss and debate any issue with alacrity, while maintaining civil discourse with even those who fiercely oppose them.
I disagree with Pat about fifty percent of the time, yet I know that he is a true Virginia (even though he was born in DC) Gentleman and a citizen who deeply loves this nation and all of its people.
Pat can be entertaining at times.
At other times, the hateful rhetoric he uses just needs to be denounced. This is one of those times.
