Twitter Under DoS Attack

For the past 90 minutes or so, Twitter has been down and it’s apparently because someone has launched a DoS attack against the service:

We are determining the cause and will provide an update shortly.

Update: we are defending against a denial-of-service attack.

In an unrelated story, corporations all over America are reporting a stunning rise in worker productivity this morning.

Update @ 11:30am: Twitter is now saying the site is back up, but it sounds like problems persist:

We are defending against a denial-of-service attack, and will update status again shortly.

Update: the site is back up, but we are continuing to defend against and recover from this attack.

It’s still down……
