I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Ugh. This video should be retitled “the arrogance of pompous blowhards who reject religion and yet refuse to stop talking about it”. The last person I want telling me what is/isn’t necessary, the foundation of my faith, or the authentic teaching of the Church is an atheist windbag.
Perhaps an appropriate antidote would be a video about the evils of public atheism.
Atheism is no more evil than religion. Of course I don’t remember any atheist starting a crusade (including the modern day one in Iraq), a jihad, or start the inquisition.
All that this video proves is that sanctimony is not the exclusive province of the religious.
Dear Mr. Mataconis,
Thank you for your work. I have referenced and commented on your blog on my own blog today, and have asked some of my own questions. Please feel free to participate.
