Earlier this week, I noted that I had sent letters to both of Virginia’s Senators and my regarding S.604 the Senate version of the bill pending before Congress to audit the Federal Reserve Board.
Here’s Senator Mark Warner’s response:
Dear Mr. Mataconis,
Thank you for contacting me about S. 604, The Federal Reserve Sunshine Act of 2009. I appreciate the benefit of your views on this important issue.
As you know, on March 16, 2009, this legislation was introduced by Senator Sanders (I-VT) and has been referred to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. I will certainly keep your thoughts in mind as we consider this legislation in committee, and when the full Senate considers this bill or similar proposals in the future.
Again, thanks for writing. As we move forward in the 111th Congress, please continue to be in touch with your opinions and concerns.
Sincerely,
MARK R. WARNER
United States Senator
Yea, I did know that Senator, that’s why I wrote you.
Oh well, I guess I shouldn’t have expected more.
There are very few legislators that say anything useful anymore.
