Lord Christopher Monckton, a former adviser to Margaret Thatcher, recently spoke before a group organized by the Minnesota Free Market Institute about the Climate Treaty to be signed in Copenhagen in December:
Monckton was a science adviser for British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. He spoke at Bethel University in St. Paul this week, where he delivered this message. He said that America and other wealthy western countries will have to give money to poorer, less developed countries to pay for the amount of carbon dioxide we’ve released. We have damaged the environment, and they have not. He added that “there is no problem with the climate and, even if there were, an economic treaty does nothing to [help] it.”
