Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Oprah, Sarah. Sarah, Oprah

by @ 4:24 pm on October 20, 2009.

For the first time ever, I may actually watch The Oprah Winfrey Show by choice:

CHICAGO – Sarah Palin is going to sit down with Oprah Winfrey.

Harpo Productions announced Tuesday that the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate will appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Monday, Nov. 16.

According to Harpo, the interview will be Palin’s first about her new book, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” and it will be the first time Palin and Winfrey will meet.

To say the least, this should be interesting.

I watched Oprah by choice when Dave Ramsey was on. This will make, if I’m not mistaken, the second time for me.

Sarah showed that she could go toe to toe with a savvy interviewer that tried to maneuver her throughout the entire episode. Oprah at least had more class than Katie “I have no clue” Curric. Her thinly veiled attempts to corner Sarah were blocked at every turn proving that this is no Alaskan hick that we are now dealing with. The heartland of the country finally has a strong, focused voice that isn’t going to be easily deterred. The next year will be a real ride….
