A man in a Halloween mask robbed a bank in Loudoun County today:

An armed robber wearing a Halloween mask robbed a Loudoun County bank Monday morning, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

The man, who wore a black hooded jacket over a dark-colored rubber mask with oversized white teeth, walked into the BB&T Bank on Davenport Street in Sterling just after 9 a.m., according to Loudoun County sheriff’s officials. He left a walking cane at the door.

The robber, armed with a gun, demanded cash, sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell said. He said there were at least two customers in the bank at the time.

The man fled on foot.

Happy Halloween !
