Gordon Sumner apparently thinks we care what he thinks:
NEW YORK (AP) – Sting isn’t a religious man, but he says President Barack Obama might be a divine answer to the world’s problems.
“In many ways, he’s sent from God,” he joked in an interview, “because the world’s a mess.”
Of course 29 years ago, Sting had a different view of politicians:
Poets, priests and politicians
Have words to thank for their positions
Words that scream for your submission
And no one’s jamming their transmission
‘Cos when their eloquence escapes you
Their logic ties you up and rapes you
Apparently, he’s had a revelation.
So… what’s so great about Obama that deserves all this? That he’s black? That he’s not George W. Bush? Again, he hasn’t done any bloody thing yet, except extend Bush’s foreign and domestic policies.
