Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Starting tomorrow, I will be joining the excellent stable of writer’s over at James Joyner’s Outside The Beltway. It’s a real honor for me because, along with  Instapundit and Vodkapundit, Outside The Beltway was one of the blogs that I started reading on a regular basis back in 2003 or so, and one of the inspirations for me to start doing this on my own back in July of 2005. Being asked to be part of one of the best blogs on the Internet is exciting.

So, what does this mean for Below The Beltway ?

Don’t worry, I’m not shutting this place down, but you are going to notice a shift in focus. For the most part, all of my “hard news” political blogging will be over at OTB from now on. There might be occasional posts like that here, but for the most part I’m hoping to have this blog focus on more partisan libertarian matters, as well as more of a focus on Virginia politics than I’ve had in the past. And, of course, there will be whatever pop culture meme might pass into my head late at night.

You’ll also be able to still catch my writing at United Liberty and The Liberty Papers, both of which you should be reading on a regular basis if you’re not already.

Anyway, that’s the big news. I’d like to thank James Joyner and the rest of the staff at OTB for inviting me on board. Come check us out.

  1. This seems like a parallel move at best. Below the Beltway is better than Outside the Beltway.

Congratulations! That’s quite a compliment, even if I’m inclined to agree with Paul about the quality of BtB.

  3. You remain my favorite blogger! Good luck in the new adventure!
