Below The Beltway

I believe in the free speech that liberals used to believe in, the economic freedom that conservatives used to believe in, and the personal freedom that America used to believe in.

Maintenance Note

by @ Sunday, December 4th, 2011. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

One of the files in the template that I’ve been using here seems to have been corrupted. The site is going to look a little odd for awhile until I figure out what happened.

Six Years Ago Today

by @ Monday, July 4th, 2011. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

It was six years ago today that I first dipped my toes into the blogosphere. It’s been an interesting little journey, with traffic hits coming from everyone from Michelle Malkin to Glenn Reynolds. I’ve met a number of good people since I started this and, while  I’m not doing most of my political blogging over […]

Site Maintenance Note

by @ Saturday, September 18th, 2010. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

I’ve temporarily (?) disabled the blogroll on the right hand column due to the fact that Blogrolling’s javascript was generating Malware errors, or simply refusing to run, for most users. Either they’ll fix the problem, or I’ll be back putting together a manual blogroll. Which I probably need to do anyway.

Five Years And Counting At Below The Beltway

by @ Sunday, July 4th, 2010. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

It was five years ago today that I first dipped my toes into the blogosphere. It’s been a fun four years, and despite a haitus here and there, I’m pretty pleased that I’ve been able to make this enough of a regular thing that over 1.8 million people have seen fit to stop by. Of […]

Movin’ On Up

by @ Sunday, May 9th, 2010. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site, Outside The Beltway

Starting tomorrow, I will be joining the excellent stable of writer’s over at James Joyner’s Outside The Beltway. It’s a real honor for me because, along with  Instapundit and Vodkapundit, Outside The Beltway was one of the blogs that I started reading on a regular basis back in 2003 or so, and one of the […]

Administration Note: Syndication

by @ Saturday, April 24th, 2010. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

I’ve been advised that the RSS feed for the blog hasn’t been updating, and from the looks of it, it looks like it hasn’t updated since we did the server move last Saturday. I’ll be looking into that, but, until then, please note that the Atom feed is current so you can switch your subscriptions […]

Alive, And Kicking

by @ Saturday, April 17th, 2010. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

Well, the server move seems to be done. And we’re still here. Thanks to the guys at LRE Hosting for giving Below the Beltway a home for the past four years. My departure has nothing to do with their service, but is due to the fact that we just grew too big ! Now we’re […]

Administrative Note

by @ Friday, April 16th, 2010. Filed under Blogging, News About The Site

I’m going to be having the blog moved to a new host this evening so we may be down for a few hours. Apologies. Besides, it’s Friday night. What are you doing reading blogs anyway ?

Once Again, Sorry

Another day of technical difficulties here at Below The Beltway. As I mentioned the other day, it’s part growing pains, and part behind-the-scenes problems that are being diagnosed. We’re working on it.
