As I noted the other day, Sitemeter seemed to be having problems over the weekend.
It appears to have been due to a server outage:

It’s been awhile since I’ve made any changes to the blogroll, so I figure we’re about due.
First, I’ve deleted Jackie Passey’s blog because it appears to be dead, gone, completely erased. Too bad.

There have been some hiccups with Sitemeter today which appear to be causing slow loading of the sidebar elements of the site as well. Things should be back to normal when the Sitemeter issue is fixed, whenever that is.

Raymond notes that he’s gotten over 100,000 spam comments at A Think Tank For One.
Heck, that’s nothing.
As of this morning, Askimet has captured 214,158 spam comments here at Below The Beltway.
So I win !
Or something like that.

I was able to complete a painless upgrade to Wordpress 2.3.1 in record time this morning, all seems to be going well.

A brief pause for a bit of shameless self-promotion.
Earlier this evening, Sitemeter recorded the 200,000th person to visit Below The Beltway since the new domain was established on April 1, 2006. Combined with the visitors from the previous domain, that means about 245,000 unique visitors have passed through these parts.
At least according to Sitemeter.

As you can probably tell, the frequency of writing has dropped off here recently, and there have been alot more posts about sports than about almost any other topic, especially this weekend.

I’ve been away from the blog today, and noticed I got home this evening that there appeared to be something causing it to switch to the Wordpress default theme.
Not sure what that is, but I think it might have something to do with the Comedy Central video embed that I posted this morning. I deleted [...]

There seems to be some weird formatting thing going on on the front page right now. Some of you may see the middle column wider than it’s supposed to be, and for some reason the background color change isn’t working right now.
