There’s no denying it this morning, yesterday was a very good day for Democrat’s in Virginia.
First, Mark Warner won Virginia’s open Senate seat in a cakewalk:

The outcome wasn’t entirely a surprise, but nonetheless Gerry Connolly has beat Keith Fimian in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District:
Gerald E. Connolly, the well-known chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, won election to the U.S. House of Representatives, putting a Democrat in a seat long held by Republican Thomas M. Davis III.
